Women’s health clinic in Newcastle
See a women’s health specialist face-to-face at Victory House — unhurried, evidence-based care for every stage.
From Victory House, our Newcastle clinic serves women across Newcastle-upon-Tyne, North Tyneside and the wider North East. It exists for a simple reason: specialist menopause care in this region has been too hard to reach, and waiting shouldn’t be part of the treatment. Booking is direct — no GP referral — and first appointments are a full 45 minutes with a BMS-recognised specialist.
Menopause and perimenopause are the heart of the clinic’s work, alongside PMDD, cycle problems and the questions that sit between specialities. Whatever the starting point, you leave with a written plan, your GP gets a letter, and your follow-ups — in person or by video — are with the specialist who already knows your story.
Also serving North Tyneside, Gateshead, the wider North East and the surrounding area.

Good to know
Do I need a referral for the Newcastle women’s health clinic?
No — book directly. We write to your GP after every consultation so your NHS records stay joined up.
What happens at a first appointment at Victory House?
A full 45 minutes with a BMS-registered specialist: proper history, honest options, written plan, GP letter — and follow-ups with the same clinician.
Can I be seen by video instead?
Yes — the same specialists run online clinics with evening and weekend appointments, and you can move between Victory House and video visits freely.
Do you treat perimenopause as well as menopause?
Yes — perimenopause, PMDD, progesterone intolerance and the wider hormonal picture. If your cycles are changing and something feels off, that’s exactly what the first appointment is for.
Your appointment, answered
The questions people are sometimes nervous to ask — answered honestly, start to finish.
Do I need a GP referral?
No — you can refer yourself. Book directly online or call us; there’s no need to see your GP first, and no referral letter required.
How much does it cost to see a menopause specialist?
A 45-minute first appointment with a Specialist Women’s Health GP is £250, and rises for a BMS Registered Menopause Specialist or Clinical Lead Director. Every price is published on our pricing page before you book — no hidden fees.
I’m nervous about booking — is that normal?
Completely. Many women arrive unsure whether their symptoms “count”. They do. You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or the right words for what you are experiencing — bring it as it is and we will work it out together.
Do I need any tests or paperwork before I come?
No. Bring yourself, and if you can, a note of your symptoms and any medicines or HRT you’ve tried — a symptom diary is genuinely useful but not required. Blood tests are only arranged afterwards if they’d actually change the answer.
Can I bring someone with me?
Of course — a partner, friend or relative is welcome in the appointment if you’d like the company or a second pair of ears.
What actually happens on the day?
You’ll be welcomed, and your specialist will bring you in for your appointment — a full 45 minutes for a first visit. It’s a conversation, not a conveyor belt: your history, your symptoms, what you’ve tried, what you want to change. There’s no examination unless one is needed and explained first, and you leave knowing the plan.
What if I’m running late — or need to cancel?
Life happens — just call us. If you’re running late we’ll do our best to protect your appointment, and if you need to rearrange, the earlier you let us know the easier it is to offer your slot to someone else.
What happens after the appointment?
You’ll have a written plan, a prescription where clinically appropriate, and a letter to your GP so your NHS records stay joined up. Follow-ups can be booked online whenever you need one.
Will anyone know what we discussed?
Your consultation is private and confidential. The one routine exception is the letter to your GP, which keeps your medical records complete — tell your specialist if there’s anything you’d prefer handled differently, and they’ll discuss the options with you.
No referral needed, and no need to know what’s wrong before you come — that’s what the appointment is for.
