BMS-recognised specialists CQC registered No GP referral needed

Our London clinic sees patients on Harley Street, in the heart of the city’s medical district — a short walk from Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Mayfair. The setting is W1; the format is unchanged from every TMC clinic: a full 45 minutes for a first appointment with a BMS-recognised specialist, direct booking without a referral, and a written plan with a GP letter after every consultation. The clinic also offers oestrogen (HRT) implants, alongside Mirena coil fitting, gynaecology and psychosexual medicine.

London gives patients no shortage of women’s health clinics; what distinguishes ours is the network behind it — eight clinics’ worth of multidisciplinary expertise, one set of records, and the option to continue any treatment by video from anywhere in the UK.

Also serving Marylebone, Fitzrovia, Mayfair and the surrounding area.

Good to know

Do I need a referral for the Harley Street clinic?

No — book directly with our BMS-registered specialists. Your GP receives a letter after each consultation.

Where is the London clinic?

On Harley Street in Marylebone — a short walk from Oxford Circus, Bond Street and Regent’s Park tube stations. The Get Directions link routes you door to door.

What happens at a first appointment?

A full 45 minutes with a specialist — history, symptoms, honest options including HRT and alternatives, and a written plan with GP letter.

Can I continue online after a London appointment?

Yes — video follow-ups are routine, wherever in the UK you are.

Your appointment, answered

The questions people are sometimes nervous to ask — answered honestly, start to finish.

Do I need a GP referral?

No — you can refer yourself. Book directly online or call us; there’s no need to see your GP first, and no referral letter required.

How much does it cost to see a menopause specialist?

A 45-minute first appointment with a Specialist Women’s Health GP is £250, and rises for a BMS Registered Menopause Specialist or Clinical Lead Director. Every price is published on our pricing page before you book — no hidden fees.

I’m nervous about booking — is that normal?

Completely. Many women arrive unsure whether their symptoms “count”. They do. You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or the right words for what you are experiencing — bring it as it is and we will work it out together.

Do I need any tests or paperwork before I come?

No. Bring yourself, and if you can, a note of your symptoms and any medicines or HRT you’ve tried — a symptom diary is genuinely useful but not required. Blood tests are only arranged afterwards if they’d actually change the answer.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course — a partner, friend or relative is welcome in the appointment if you’d like the company or a second pair of ears.

What actually happens on the day?

You’ll be welcomed, and your specialist will bring you in for your appointment — a full 45 minutes for a first visit. It’s a conversation, not a conveyor belt: your history, your symptoms, what you’ve tried, what you want to change. There’s no examination unless one is needed and explained first, and you leave knowing the plan.

What if I’m running late — or need to cancel?

Life happens — just call us. If you’re running late we’ll do our best to protect your appointment, and if you need to rearrange, the earlier you let us know the easier it is to offer your slot to someone else.

What happens after the appointment?

You’ll have a written plan, a prescription where clinically appropriate, and a letter to your GP so your NHS records stay joined up. Follow-ups can be booked online whenever you need one.

Will anyone know what we discussed?

Your consultation is private and confidential. The one routine exception is the letter to your GP, which keeps your medical records complete — tell your specialist if there’s anything you’d prefer handled differently, and they’ll discuss the options with you.

No referral needed, and no need to know what’s wrong before you come — that’s what the appointment is for.
