How we help
Blood tests & diagnostics
Hormone profiles, individual blood tests, women’s health screens and diagnostics. Blood is taken by a nurse at home (£70), and tests are ordered by a clinician during an appointment.
- From £31.75
- In person
Blood tests can help confirm a diagnosis, check your general health or show how well treatment is working. We offer single tests and complete profiles, as well as cervical screening, swabs and endometrial biopsy.
Do I need a blood test for menopause?
Not usually. For women over 45, menopause and perimenopause are normally diagnosed from symptoms. Tests are more useful if you are younger, if your symptoms are unusual, or to rule out other causes such as thyroid problems, low iron or vitamin deficiencies. Your specialist will tell you which tests, if any, would help.
How it works
Blood tests can only be ordered by one of our clinicians during an appointment, as there needs to be a clinical reason to decide whether testing is appropriate. Blood is then taken by one of our nurses at your home; a home visit costs £70, on top of the tests themselves. Results go to your clinician, who will explain them and any next steps.
If you use Oestrogel, Sandrena, Androfeme, Testogel or Testim, leave out that day’s dose until after your blood has been taken.
