Nottingham is where TMC began — and it’s still home. From our clinic in West Bridgford, our team has been seeing women from across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands for years: for menopause and perimenopause, PMDD, coil fitting and the whole span of hormonal health. This is where our way of working was set — a full 45 minutes for a first appointment, a written plan, and a letter to your GP after every consultation.
Being the founding clinic has a practical upside: the widest range of on-site services in our network — specialist doctors, procedures such as coil and contraceptive implant fitting and oestrogen (HRT) implants, psychotherapy and acupuncture — and short waits for both new and returning patients.
Also serving Nottinghamshire, Lincoln, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and the surrounding area.

Good to know
Do I need a GP referral to book in Nottingham?
No — you can book directly with our BMS-registered specialists. After every consultation we write to your GP so your NHS records stay joined up, and we can prescribe where appropriate.
What happens at a first appointment in Nottingham?
A full 45 minutes with a specialist: your history taken properly, symptoms mapped, an honest discussion of options, and a written plan — with a prescription and GP letter where appropriate.
Is there parking at the West Bridgford clinic?
Yes — the Wilford Lane site has on-site parking. If anything changes for a particular visit we’ll tell you when you book.
Can I switch between the Nottingham clinic and online appointments?
Yes — your records and your specialist stay the same, so you can see us in person at either Nottingham site and follow up by video, or the other way round, whatever suits each appointment.
Your appointment, answered
The questions people are sometimes nervous to ask — answered honestly, start to finish.
How much does it cost to see a menopause specialist?
A 45-minute first appointment with a Specialist Women’s Health GP is £250, and rises for a BMS Registered Menopause Specialist or Clinical Lead Director. Every price is published on our pricing page before you book — no hidden fees.
I’m nervous about booking — is that normal?
Completely. Many women arrive unsure whether their symptoms “count”. They do. You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or the right words for what you are experiencing — bring it as it is and we will work it out together.
Do I need any tests or paperwork before I come?
No. Bring yourself, and if you can, a note of your symptoms and any medicines or HRT you’ve tried — a symptom diary is genuinely useful but not required. Blood tests are only arranged afterwards if they’d actually change the answer.
Can I bring someone with me?
Of course — a partner, friend or relative is welcome in the appointment if you’d like the company or a second pair of ears.
What actually happens on the day?
You’ll be welcomed, and your specialist will bring you in for your appointment — a full 45 minutes for a first visit. It’s a conversation, not a conveyor belt: your history, your symptoms, what you’ve tried, what you want to change. There’s no examination unless one is needed and explained first, and you leave knowing the plan.
What if I’m running late — or need to cancel?
Life happens — just call us. If you’re running late we’ll do our best to protect your appointment, and if you need to rearrange, the earlier you let us know the easier it is to offer your slot to someone else.
What happens after the appointment?
You’ll have a written plan, a prescription where clinically appropriate, and a letter to your GP so your NHS records stay joined up. Follow-ups can be booked online whenever you need one.
Will anyone know what we discussed?
Your consultation is private and confidential. The one routine exception is the letter to your GP, which keeps your medical records complete — tell your specialist if there’s anything you’d prefer handled differently, and they’ll discuss the options with you.
No referral needed, and no need to know what’s wrong before you come — that’s what the appointment is for.
